One cannot dispute that YTB sold a lot of travel and under Sorensen's watch, YTB was named a Pinnacle Agency by Carnival Cruise Lines and Travel Weekly named him one of the most influential people in travel.
We are sorry to hear of Kim's passing and our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

April 13, 1950 – February 1, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce J. Kim Sorensen took his last breath on Wednesday morning, February 1, 2012. While he will forever be remembered as our fearless Founder, the man who had the vision to see beyond a failed venture and turn it in to one of the greatest stories ever told, we all know that he was much more than that. A great man to say the least, Kim was a husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to so many of us.
Please join us in remembering Kim’s extraordinary life and passion for helping individuals write their own success story. As he always said, “I need everyone to get in the game.” Let’s join together to honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
