No Really, We Are In Travel

We are just not sure how we are going to do it.  On Thursday, Kim released this FAQ. And then again on Friday it was revised again and replaced with this one. Not sure anyone knows about the future of travel in YTB.  Gosh they can't even tell their people about the Funshine Convention.  Hello you are trying to plan a convention in Florida during spring break and you now have 6 months--good luck with that.

And for the lighter side of the memo, apparently Kim has a short memory. He can't remember when he was more excited about the future. Here let me help him out a bit---before IATA rescinded their accreditation, before RCCL threw them to the curb, before NCL threw them to the curb, before ASTA refused to allow them membership, before their stock was trading at a nickel, before there were only 20,000 RTAs, before there were attorneys generals suing them, before there were class action suits against them, before they had to sell the jet, before their standing on the TW list consistently went down, and before he was no longer considered one of the most influential men in travel.   Kim--those were the times to be excited about the future.

What are you excited about now? Your group booking engine is inoperable and people are pissed. Your commission from Carnival has been reduced to 11%. You are still bleeding RTAs. And now Coach tells you that the only people you CAN recruit from are those who have been trained to pay nothing for something?  Oooh the excitement is simply overwhelming. But hey, you were able to transfer those 4 million shares for estate planning purposes. That $200,000 will come in handy. Just a shame that stock is not worth the $3 Coach promised John Simmons it woudl be worth. Helluva way to lose a home!

Aside from making it even more confusing by introducing different names, positions and methods to book travel all with different commission splits, it seems like Kim is really acting like the wizard behind the green curtain.

I wonder if there is friction at YTB. One side wants to be a legitimate travel host before it is too late, and the other says you can;t do that unless you MLM it.
